[Parallels 2.5][Vista] Vista Biz がインストール途中で失敗する

MacBook Pro 上の Parallels Desktop 2.5 にVistaをインストールしようとしたら 0x80070570 のエラーで引っかかってしまう。
大体 97% 程度の読込みの辺りで。

The first hurdle to overcome is the now infamous 0x80070570 error when your trying to do a clean install direct from the DVD. The crux of it seems to be the speed at which you write the DVD iso to your blank media. Personally I've found that most of the install problems are with DVD-RW drives. Plain DVD-ROMs seem to read any media without a problem. There are two fixes, the first and most universal is to ensure you burn the CD at 1x or 2x and run a CRC check on the media after burning to ensure it's correct. Alternatively if you can't wait the age it takes to burn the 2.5Gb at 1x make sure that you burn the DVD on the same drive you intend to boot from (i.e. don't burn the DVD on another machine).

って、この為だけに、単なるDVD-ROMドライブを調達しなければならんのか？
というか、Parallels Image Tool って速度なんか一切調整出来ないぜ？

[iPod/iPhone] iPhone 日本語入力対応への下準備が整ったらしい

ITmedia +D Mobile 『iPhoneが日本語入力をサポート？──iPhoneアップデートの謎』(2007年10月01日 23時28分 更新) によれば

米Appleが9月27日にリリースした「iPhone 1.1.1 Update」は、再アクティベーションが必要ということでも話題を呼んだが、このアップデートを適用後、なんと日本語入力用のソフトキーボードが現れるようになった。

これに気がついてから、その入力画面が表示された掲示板サイトでいろいろ試してみたのだが、日本語対応の入力画面は出現する場合としない場合があり、必ずしも100％現象を再現できるわけではなかった。同じWebページの同じ入力フィールドでも、同じ入力画面が表示されないこともある。ただ1つ分かったのは、日本語のページを表示している場合に日本語入力メニューが表示される確率が高いということだ（当たり前といえば当たり前だが）。

　例えばITmediaや＠ITの検索窓を選択した場合にも、日本語の入力画面が表示されることがある。だが日本語のWebページなら大丈夫というわけでもないようだ。例えば何度かGoogle日本語版のページで試してみたのだが、日本語ソフトキーボードは表示されず、英語版のソフトキーボードが出現するだけだった。このほか、日本語以外にフランス語やドイツ語のWebページで、各言語に対応した入力メニューが出現するかも試してみたが、実験中には英語版以外のキーボードは出現しなかった。100％現象を再現するためにはさらなる検証が必要だと思われるが、WebサイトのHTMLタグなどを読んで判断しているように見える。

国際言語の正式サポートはいつ実現する？
　11月9日に欧州版iPhoneが登場する以上、旧バージョンがソフトウェアアップデートでの多言語対応を頑なに拒む理由は少ないと考えられる。実際、偶然にもすでに日本語入力メニューが取り込まれていることが分かった。9月27日から配布が始まったiPhoneのアップデータは、150Mバイト以上もある容量の大きなもので、日本語以外の主要言語をサポートしている可能性は非常に高いだろう。現時点では意図的にメニューの種類を切り替えられるかだけがiPod touchとの差なので、ソフトウェアを変更する手間はほとんどないと思われる。Appleの腹積もり1つでは、11月の欧州版発売を待たずして、比較的早期のアップデートで対応してくることになるかもしれない。

他の問題は…perlをよくは知らないんだな。pyobj/objc程には。

CamelBones ってのは… Objective-C と perl とをブリッジするフレームワーク、なんだそうな。

[Fink] FinkCommander の挙動がおかしい

ターミナルで動かす Fink 自体は問題なさそうなんだが…
FinkCommander の画面右下の プログレスバーが、散髪屋のぐるぐる螺旋オブジェのように、延々、進行しっぱなし。
FinkCommander で Use unstable だのなんだのを指定しても、output view に Done って出るまで待てや と出るだけだしなぁ。

FinkCommander の初期設定ファイルをリビルドする方法ってないものか？

追記:
Finder の 検索コマンドで finkco と続けて打っていくと、いくつか .plist が見つかったので、まとめてゴミ箱フォルダへ捨てて。
※この時見つかったのは、全て com.sburrious.finkcommander.plist
で、改めて FinkCommander を Wクリックすると…正常に動いてるじゃん。

よし。これで当面は凌げるだろう。
※本命は、やはり CamelBone で組直されるであろう 新生 FinkCommander だね。

[タスク管理] OmniFocus

Omniが『OmniFocus』というのを作ってるようだ。
いわく、個人用のタスク管理アプリだそうだ。
もう暫く経てば、評価版なりがダウンロード可能になる…ってなことが書かれている。楽しみだな。

[CSS][framework] BluePrint、ver 0.6 のストレステストに移行

CSS framework の一つ、『BluePrint』が v.0.6 になるにあたって、ストレステストを実施するんだそうだ。SubVersionクライアント、もしくはWebブラウザで取ってくれ、ということらしい。
